Plitvice Lakes National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in central Croatia. It is one of the oldest and largest national parks in Croatia, covering an area of approximately 300 square kilometers. The park is famous for its sixteen interconnected lakes, which are fed by numerous rivers and streams and cascade into each other through a series of waterfalls.

Visitors can explore the park through a network of hiking trails and wooden footbridges, which wind through the lakes and waterfalls, offering breathtaking views of the natural beauty. Boat rides and electric trains are also available for visitors who prefer a more leisurely way to explore the park.
Plitvice Lakes National Park is a popular tourist destination, attracting millions of visitors each year. However, to preserve the delicate ecosystem, the park imposes strict rules and regulations on visitors, including no swimming or fishing in the lakes, and staying on designated trails.

There are several hotels and restaurants located within and around Plitvice Lakes National Park, offering a range of accommodations and dining options for visitors.
Inside the park, there are two hotels: Hotel Jezero and Hotel Plitvice. Hotel Jezero is a four-star hotel located near the main entrance to the park and offers comfortable rooms, a restaurant serving traditional Croatian cuisine, and a spa center. Hotel Plitvice is a three-star hotel located near the park’s largest waterfall and offers simple, yet cozy rooms, a restaurant, and a bar.
Outside the park, there are several other hotels and guesthouses, ranging from budget-friendly options to luxury accommodations. Some popular options include Hotel Degenija, Ethno Houses Plitvica Selo, and Villa Lika.
As for restaurants, there are several options located within the park, including the restaurants at Hotel Jezero and Hotel Plitvice, as well as several smaller cafes and snack bars. These establishments serve a variety of Croatian dishes, including grilled meats, seafood, and vegetarian options.
Outside the park, there are also several restaurants and taverns located in the nearby villages, serving traditional Croatian cuisine, including local specialties such as roasted lamb and freshwater fish. Some popular options include Restaurant Licka Kuca, Konoba Vucnica, and Restaurant Macola.
